Istanbul Bazaar Online ships Turkish and Mediterranean pantry goods from our Staten Island store. Most items we ship are shelf-stable. Chilled dairy ships in an insulated box with gel packs. See Chilled items below.

Where we ship

We ship to the 48 contiguous US states and Washington, DC. We ship shelf-stable goods to all of these places. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories or APO/FPO/DPO military addresses. Chilled dairy ships to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC, by the zone rules below. We do not ship chilled items to PO boxes or APO/FPO/DPO addresses. We do not ship frozen items.

Pick up your order at Istanbul Grand Bazaar, 2189 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306. The product page shows if pickup is available for the item and when the order is ready (usually in 2 hours).
Local customers can also pick up through Mercato or get delivery through Instacart.

Shipping cost

Your shipping cost for shelf-stable items is the sum of up to two parts. Chilled items have their own charge. See Chilled items below. You see the total at checkout before you pay.

Standard shipping: $6.99 when your order is under $25.00. It is free ($0) when your order is $25.00 or more. We measure the amount on your cart total before discount codes. Chilled items do not count toward this amount.
Example: a $20.00 order pays $6.99. A $30.00 order pays $0.
Glass Safe Shipping: +$4.99 when your order has one or more glass items. This is a shipping charge for the extra carrier cost of glass. We charge it once per order, no matter how many glass items you buy. We charge it also when Standard shipping is free.
Example: a $30.00 order with 3 glass jars pays $0 standard shipping + $4.99 = $4.99. A $20.00 order with 1 glass jar pays $6.99 + $4.99 = $11.98.
Heavy shipping: for carts of 20 lb (9,072 g) or more. The amount depends on the weight of your cart: $9.99 for 20–30 lb, $14.99 for 30–40 lb and $18.99 for 40 lb or more. Heavy shipping takes the place of Standard shipping. The price is the same under and over $25.00. When your order has glass, add $4.99 Glass Safe Shipping. See the weight table below. We count the weight of the products, not the box. We do not count the weight of chilled items. Free Standard shipping does not remove it.
Example: a $40.00 order of 25 lb with no glass pays $9.99. The same order with glass pays $9.99 + $4.99 = $14.98. A $40.00 order of 35 lb with no glass pays $14.99.

Free Standard shipping starts at $25.00 (before discount codes) on shelf-stable items · glass, 20 lb+ carts and chilled items extra.

Faster shipping: USPS Priority Mail, priced by the carrier at checkout. Chilled orders use the chilled shipping charge. A mixed cart shows one Shipping line with the sum of both parts. You cannot choose a faster service for the shelf-stable part of a mixed cart.

Shipping total for carts of 20 lb or more

This table shows the full shipping total (Heavy, plus Glass Safe when your order has glass) for carts of 20 lb or more. We use the weight of the products, not the box. "20–30 lb" means 20 lb up to, but not including, 30 lb. The same rule applies to the other rows. Under 20 lb, use the first table.

Chilled items

Chilled dairy (for example cheese, yogurt, labneh, butter, ayran) ships to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC. The product page for a chilled item shows a "Chilled" note. The way we ship depends on your state (your zone) and on the season.

Cold season: 27 October 2026 to 31 March 2027

In the cold season, chilled dairy ships by UPS Ground with gel packs in a foil liner. We do not use dry ice. Your zone sets the price and the ship days. Transit times are carrier estimates.

Two cases ship by air instead: zone D, and soft items to zone C. Air means UPS 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air Saver. An air box pays the UPS rate plus the cold-pack shipping charge. The cold-pack shipping charge is $9.99 for the cold packaging of an air box. We charge it once per order.

When the temperature at your delivery address is above 75°F, we may upgrade your ground box to air at no extra charge. We make this choice for each order.

The flat price covers all chilled items in the order. We charge it once per order. Chilled items add no glass charge. We do not count their weight in the Heavy shipping tiers.

Soft items

Soft items are yogurt, ayran, labneh, kaymak, cream and fresh soft cheese. They do not ship by ground to zone C. In zone C, a soft item ships only by UPS 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air Saver, plus a $9.99 cold-pack shipping charge. You can also remove the soft item from your cart. Hard and semi-hard cheese and butter can still ship by ground to zone C. Zones A and B ship soft items by ground.

A zone C cart can have both hard cheese or butter and a soft item. Then the whole chilled part of the order ships by air. It pays the UPS rate plus the $9.99 cold-pack shipping charge. Remove the soft items to ship the rest by ground for $17.99.

The chilled shipping charge is always added

We always add the chilled shipping charge to your order. This is true also when the shelf-stable part of your order ships free at $25.00 or more. Chilled shipping is never free.

Warm season: 1 April 2027 to 30 September 2027

In the warm season, all zones ship by UPS 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air Saver. You pay the UPS rate for the service you choose plus a $9.99 cold-pack shipping charge. The cold-pack shipping charge pays for the cold packaging. We charge it once per order. The zone prices above do not apply in the warm season. In the warm season, all chilled orders ship Monday to Wednesday.

Orders, schedule and address

Chilled items never qualify for free Standard shipping. They do not count toward the $25.00 free Standard shipping amount. The $25.00 amount and the 20 lb tiers count shelf-stable items only. If your cart has chilled and shelf-stable items, you see one Shipping line with the sum of both parts. You see the total at checkout before you pay.

Ship days depend on your zone (see the table). We never ship chilled orders on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Orders placed by 12:00 PM ET on a ship day for your zone ship the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 PM ET, or on other days, ship the next ship day for your zone. This keeps the box from waiting over a weekend.

We do not ship chilled items to PO boxes or APO/FPO/DPO addresses. We check the address before we ship. Give a street address where someone can receive the box. If your cart has a chilled item and your address is outside the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC, you cannot check out. Remove the chilled item to ship the other items to that address.

Transit times are carrier estimates. We do not guarantee a delivery date. If the carrier is late, tell us. We look at the tracking and contact you.

Chilled items are perishable and are final sale. If a chilled item arrives warm, damaged or wrong, tell us within 24 hours of delivery. Email your order number and photos of the item, the gel pack and the box to istanbulgrandbazaarsocial@gmail.com. You can also call (929) 949-7810.

If a chilled item arrives damaged or wrong and we approve your report, we refund the item or send it again. We choose which one.

If a chilled item arrives late or warm and we approve your report, we refund the chilled items or send them again. You choose which one. If you choose a refund, we also refund the chilled shipping charge with the chilled items. This is the flat zone price, or the UPS air shipping charge and the cold-pack shipping charge. If you choose to have them sent again, we refund no shipping charge.

We do not refund the chilled shipping charge when only pantry items are refunded. We do not refund pantry items in the same order for this reason. We do not accept returns of chilled items.

When the box arrives, put chilled items in the refrigerator at once. Follow the storage directions on the pack.

Processing

Packed in 1-2 business days. Transit time depends on the carrier and the destination. We email you tracking information when your order ships. Chilled orders follow the schedule in Chilled items.

Substitutions

In your cart, the "Substitutions allowed" box is checked. Uncheck it and we refund out-of-stock items instead.

If an item is out of stock and the box is checked, we send a substitute of the same product type and, if possible, brand family. It has equal or higher value. You never pay more. If it costs less, we refund the difference.

We never send a substitute with a different allergen list from the original item. We refund that item instead.

We email you the original item and the substitute. If you do not want it, reply to that email or write to us. We refund the substituted item. You do not need to return food.

Damaged or broken items

Report a damaged or broken item within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number and photos of the damage. We replace the item or refund the damaged item. For chilled items, the window is 24 hours. See Chilled items.
